Meet Hannah

Hey there! I'm Hannah Whitt, your go-to wedding photographer and videographer in North Carolina. Originally from a fishing village in Cornwall, England, I made the move to the Tar Heel State in 2017. In addition to capturing your special day, I also handle all things editing, social media, and website design for Whitt Photography & Film.

While it's tough to pick favorites, I'm especially excited about weddings that include a dog in the bridal party, dresses with pockets, and a little bit of the Macarena (very underrated party song!). My photography dream is a wedding at Disney World and an epic outdoor engagement session featuring the wild horses of Shackleford Banks. And don't be surprised if I ask to join your Pinterest boards—I love getting a glimpse of your wedding vision and inspo!

When I'm not busy prepping to shoot your perfect day, you can find me experimenting with new recipes from Pinterest or browsing the latest books at Barnes & Noble.

Fun facts about Hannah

  • During high school, I performed at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London in an opera that we had to create
  • I start every day with a cup of tea (Smuggler's Brew by The Cornish Tea Company is my all time fave!)
  • When I read The Notebook, I cried so much that I've yet to emotionally prepare myself enough to watch the movie
  • I came 2nd in a Cool Babe competition dressed in my best Spice Girls attire when I was 6 on vacation

Meet Matt

Hey I'm Matt, Hannah describes me as the action man at Whitt Photography and Film. I'm a FAA licensed Drone pilot as well as the lead videographer! Born and raised here in Lewisville, North Carolina, I played golf, baseball and basketball growing up and attended college at UNCG. I've been known to get involved in corn hole tournaments at weddings with the groomsmen. Just because it's your wedding day doesn't mean I'll let you win. Sorry Travis! 

My dream is to build my family a cabin on about 30 acres in the NC mountains and live off the land.  I became so interested in "back to Eden" gardening that I turned our entire front yard into a food forest with tons of fruit trees, and bushes etc. I love fishing, camping and fast cars. I used to drive a Mopar powered front engine dragster called the "Franklin Flash" with a touring Drag Racing Show called the Carolina Gassers. 

 

Fun Facts about Matt

  • Even though I'm an adrenaline junkie, I've never broken a bone
  • I hate ketchup and mayonaise but love Thousand Island dressing on my salad
  • I'm a huge watch fan and read everything on Hodinkee on a daily basis
  • There are few things in life I enjoy more than a fresh rice krispie treat
  • My all time favorite tv shows are Friends, The Wonder Years and Friday Night Lights
